We are looking for you as an experienced Application Engineer and Technical Trainer (f/m/d). The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the full insulation & components portfolio within Europe. This role will be based in our insulation factory in Roigheim - Germany with the possibility to work also partly on home-office.

Your responsibilities

- You are responsible for providing technical trainings to third party customers on the full Insulation and Components portfolio (e.g. bushings)

- You support third party transformer OEMs on reviewing end user specifications at the pre-tender stage as well as during project execution

- You also support utilities in defining their specifications of public tenders

- You liaise with the supply side engineering teams on complex engineering projects and propose technically feasible solutions to the customers

- You participate in exhibitions, conferences and other marketing events in order to provide extended technical support and training on the product samples

- You update training documentation, develop and standardize the training material and make it accessible to the customer and internally

- You are responsible for feeding market information into PGUs, GPGs and GPMs and support from a technical point of view on new leaflets and brochures

- You collaborate with Hitachi Energy Sales channels and also third parties on Service projects and prepare the project RFQs for supply side engineering teams

- You support third party customers on getting certification from our factories on Components after-sales service

- You set up periodical trainings for HUB Europe TCS demand side team in order to elevate/maintain their product knowledge and support the technical training of Hitachi Energy transformer factories in Europe

- You create synergies between PGUs in order to increase share of wallet

Your background

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical discipline, ideally Electrical or Mechanical engineering

- More than 5 years of experience in a similar application engineering or technical training role

- Business fluent in English, spoken and written, knowledge of German language will be considered an advantage

- Experience in understanding and influencing utilities’ specifications

- Market as well as product knowledge in the field of power transformers or distribution transformers insulation and components

- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, customer-focused mindset, ability to establish and manage long-term customer relationships as well as excellent planning and organization skills

- Sound knowledge of MS Office and CRM, preferably Salesforce

- Willingness to travel within Europe (up to 50%)
