The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Requirements:
Working as a Power systems engineer at Network Manager installed project base covering the following tasks.
Design Tele Info Plan (TIP) from the Substation/Power station/Water pumping station from SCMS/DCS/RTU signal lists & Single Line Diagrams.
Update RTU Interface drawings to adapt changes in the protection/Switchgear using AutoCAD.
Prepare Network Base designs & Block diagrams using MS Visio.
Prepare Method Statements, SAT Procedures, Risk assessment documents for the above works.
Perform SAT tests internal/witness with consultants for Substations, Power Plants with clients & prepare SAT reports.
Troubleshoot (& analyze data) communication protocol of IEC 870-5-101, IEC 870-5-104 & RP57x from PCU400 logs & third-party analyzer/simulator tools.
Prepare customized SLD’s on PED500 to suit customer’s requirements at LDC.

Background:
Engineering degree in Electrical & Electronics, or equivalent.
Good knowledge on power system protection and substation automation schemes, substation design and equipment.
Experience in installation, commissioning and testing of power stations, substations etc.
Good understanding of schematic and single line diagrams.
Proficiency in standards and IEEE codes for protection signals.
General knowledge in power plants such as combined cycle plants & PV plants.
Knowledge of EMS parameters such as resistance, reactance, impedance & susceptance etc.
Basic knowledge of SCADA systems.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong Interpersonal Skills.
