As Contract Manager you will be responsible for all aspects of contract management from tendering phase to the final execution. Your communications and collaboration skills will come to hand while working with local teams, suppliers, and customers. You will be based in Ludvika, Sweden and we offer flexible work-from-home options.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for the Contract Management services for Power Transformers while reporting to Project Management.
• Ensure the portfolio of contracts in the business, following contract and claim management methodologies are in accordance with internal standard procedures.
• Review, comment and recommend on commercial and technical terms and conditions – especially in case of disputes.
• Design and implement functional Contract Management continuous improvement actions (i.e. by coaching/supporting area sales managers during tendering process and project management during order process).
• Analyze contract terms to highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk, such as ambiguities, omissions and conflicts; developing and implementing risk mitigation and opportunity planning in concert with project managers and area sales managers.
• You perform the overall analysis of claims, development of defence strategies, preparing response/correspondences, counterclaims.
• Support the project managers in negotiation of disputes with customers/third parties, seeking advice from legal if necessary.
• You provide general advice and pro-actively support during the bid phase and execution of Customer Contracts, Consortium Agreements, Subcontracts/Supply contracts to secure Hitachi Energy’s contractual rights and entitlements.

Your background

• Completed business or engineering degree with 3-5 years of relevant experience in contract management or a degree in law (min. 2 years experience).
• Experience in negotiating contracts.
• Fluency in English and Swedish (written and spoken).
• Ability to create and communicate/present precise contract analyses, even under time pressure.
• You are an independent person with an eye for details who easily can analyze information and structure your work together with stakeholders.
