Lead technical interface in the project, internally and towards the customer. Is responsible of product definition.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Lead technical activities:

  • Manage one or several product solutions (brake) in an application project (or acquisition) on spec, on time and on cost
  • Coordinate and plan technical activities (internally and with the customer) in alignment with the project
  • Coordinate industrial feasibility assessment with plant and samples procurement for internal needs
  • Support and coordinate overall product validation (performance, durability on bench, NVH and vehicle tests) in collaboration with testing department
  • Authorize delivery of samples to customer
  • Maintain specific customer/project knowledge and history
  • Represent internally the customer towards plant, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Alert in case of deviation according to internal rules
  • Provide application cost, development planning, specification analysis and technical offer during acquisition phase

Ensure technical activities are driven according to internal standards:

  • In charge of the technical definition according to customer requirements and internal design rules
  • Lead the design reviews internally and participate to review with suppliers when necessary

Documentation and continuous improvement:

  • Deliver project technical documentation according to internal processes
  • Contribute to product continuous improvement through lessons learn

  • Manufacturing processes knowledge (metallic, plastics)
  • Experienced in technical project management

  • Ability to interface with a customer in a challenging project environment
  • Knowledge in CAD design (3D/2D) and PLM tool
  • Fluent English level

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Mechanics or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years min. of experience in automotive industry or equivalent, interfacing with suppliers and/or customers and with concrete experience(s) in mechanical components development combined with technical project management.
