Hitachi Energy, a global leader in providing innovative energy solutions, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Apprentice Bid and Proposal Co-ordinator. Whilst it helps to have a background in business, customer service, or engineering,  if you are just starting out in the world of work or looking for a career change and can demonstrate a desire to learn and contribute to our success then, we want to hear from you!

As a Bid and Proposal Co-ordinator you will support new business through the full end to end proposal process – from initial interest and co-ordinating activities around pursuit of an opportunity, co-ordination of responses to pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQ), if applicable, and final tender proposal documentation submission.

Key responsibilities to work towards during your apprenticeship:

  • Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to prepare and submit tender proposals.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of customer requirements and project specifications to ensure accurate and competitive bidding.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to gather the necessary information and documentation required for tender submissions.

  • Review and analyse tender documents, identifying potential risks and opportunities.

  • Support the development of pricing strategies and ensure compliance with company policies and guidelines.

  • Maintain a comprehensive database of tender information, including documents, correspondence, and deadlines.

  • Assist in the negotiation and finalization of contracts with customers.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum requirements are 5 GCSEs Grade A- C or 3-8, including Mathematics, English Language and Science.

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical requirements.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Experience in tendering, bid management, or project management is preferred but not essential.
