Description
Technical Training & Competency Coordinator – HVDC, United Kingdom
At Hitachi Energy our purpose is advancing a sustainable energy future for all. We bring power to our homes, schools, hospitals and factories. Join us and work with fantastic people, while learning and developing yourself on projects that have a real impact to our communities and society. Bring your passion, bring your energy, and be part of a global team that appreciates a simple truth: Diversity + Collaboration = Great Innovation
HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
Hitachi Energy HVDC is seeking a Technical Training & Competency Coordinator, to be based in the UK, to support the highly dynamic and rapidly growing HVDC business. You will be part of a global team focusing on training and competency development, building the teams to deliver the energy transition for our future generations.
You have a keen interest and previous experience working in the fields of training and competency; ideally in a large, complex international environment where employees frequently move across borders.
You value collaboration, knowledge sharing, appreciate transparency and you see diversity of thought as a key strength for the growth of our people & business. You are curious, passionate about learning, and motivated by acting as a change agent.
This is a hybrid role, with the main link office being located in central Birmingham. Travel will be required to our UK delivery sites (some of which are in remote locations) as well as occasional overseas travel to collaborate with the wider team.
We are interested to learn more about you and what you can contribute, so don’t hesitate to apply even if you don’t meet all requirements. A team with great cooperation and with diverse backgrounds is waiting for you to join!
