You will be a vital member of the Power Consulting Team in Spain. Reporting to the Line Manager, you will lead consulting assignments of medium complexity and provide support in the development of consultancy products and services according to agreed-upon timeline and standards, using established and innovative solutions.

Engage in Consultancy projects executed by the Power Consulting team in the electrical power systems domain.
Lead and execute the consulting assignments using established standards, methods, and technologies to develop solutions and resolve issues. Lead the project management activities such as planning and scheduling, customer satisfaction, financial and cost management, risk, and opportunity management.
Supporting contract management activities (invoicing and work in progress, etc.), to ensure delivery of assignments as per the agreed contract.
Support in the Marketing and Sales activities. Lead and/or support the preparation of tender proposals for the technical solutions to meet customer needs, actively negotiating contracts to win consulting assignments and providing technical support and guidance to the Sales team.
Conducting risk and opportunity assessments for consulting assignments, proposing and initiating actions to mitigate and control risks as well as activities to capitalize on opportunities for repeat and new consulting business.
Supporting the development of new processes and tools for Engineering effectiveness, ensuring compliance with required safety regulations and contractual clauses and investigating any inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
The projects/assignments may involve among others supporting utilities to improve their efficiency in operations, evaluate the impact of renewable integration (offshore and onshore) in the electrical networks, assessment of the introduction of new actors in the electrical ecosystem (E-mobility, H2, industry electrification and others) or the assessment of sustainability/efficiency measures to be implemented in electrical systems.
Coaching and developing consultants to deliver assignments with a focus on operational execution and excellence
Work in an environment of international collaboration within the different Power Consulting units and other Hitachi Energy groups.

An official master’s degree in electrical engineering, electrical power systems or similar, is required..
More than 5 years’ experience in the execution of complex consultancy projects for the electrical power systems in the different segments: utilities, power generation including onshore/offshore renewables and industry.
Expertise in leading large consultancy projects from a project management perspective and as technical leader of the assignments. It will be valued the PMO certification
Deep expertise in power system analysis and knowledge of electrical power systems with a consulting approach
Experience in the design, understanding and performance of power systems studies with consulting approach.
It will be valued the experience in sustainability analysis (LCAs), data analytics, or strategic consultancy.
Experience proposing solutions on BESS, FACTS, E-mobility, smart city, electrical transmission and distribution planning.
Knowledge in power systems modelling and analysis in software simulation, as well as experience in software simulation tools such as PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, PSCAD, GABI.
It will be valued the knowledge in the development of user defined model in the software tools for power system analysis will be valued. Python scripting will be valued.
Proficiency in English and Spanish both written and spoken. Any additional languages will be appreciated specially French and Japanese.
Short business trips might be required, typically for meeting with customer at the start of the project or trip for the presentation of results.
