Global Crisis Manager

 

Hiring position : Risk Management Dept., Governance Office,  Hitachi Astemo Ltd.

Location  : Tokyo Japan 

 

Mission

To keep the organziation resilient to crises by (i) defining high-level policies, (ii) building and maintaining a global network of people, and (iii) providing the organization with education and training, while leading and coordinating activities taken in response to actual crises of global impact the company face

 

Key Responsibility and  Activities

There are two key elements in the roles and responsibitlitiesmission of Global Crisis Manager. One is to enhance the group-wide crises response capabilities with 1) policy setting, 2) global network of people and 3) delivery of training and the other is to lead the the activities taken in response to materialized crises at the global headquarters in close coordination with regional headquaters and sites.

  • Single point of contact for all matters relating to crisis management and crisis response in the Astemo Group,
  • Policy and strategy recommendations on crisis management and crisis response to Chief Risk Management Officer,
  • Delivering crisis response training and exercises to ensure that crisis response is at a high level of competence and a high state of readiness throughout the organization,
  • Identifying, monitoring and reporting of potential crisis including issuing alerts in the organization
  • Assessment of a materialized crisis for the decision to form an ad-hoc crisis response team at the global headquarters.
  • Heading the ad-hoc crisis response team at the global headquarters and work in close coordination with crisis response teams formed at regional headquarters and sites to minimize the impact of the crisis and to achieve quick recovery.
  • Post-event review of crisis response and recommendation of improvements to systems, processes or organization

Key Professional Competencies /Qualification /Experience

Required

  • 7+ years in crisis management, including the handling of actual crises, preferably within a large global organization
  • 850+ TOEIC score (business communication fluency)
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills

 

Best if you are

  • Understanding of the value chain, supply chain and business process of auto-parts companies
  • Overseas work or study experience

 

Key Personal Competencies

People with mental and physical resilience who can remain calm and give a sense of security to people around in the face of crises is appreciated. Applicants should be comfortable with building solid, collaborative working relationships with stakeholders throughout the organization with good presentation and communication skills. A passion and a sense of duty to protect people, business and reputation of the compnay from crises are also indispensable.
