Internship – Data Engineer

Description

Primary objective of this role is to assist in building/testing an IT system for managing customer power system grid (SCADA type of systems) plus administration support and processes automation in Excel.

Role includes configuring/testing displays for real-time and archived data presentation with Network Manager system tools. Data Engineer Assistant is responsible for ensuring product quality and standardization in the delivery process.

Your responsibilities:

• Create/test GUI with database references for data presentation in the customer IT system.
• Working according to detailed instructions and/or test procedures.
• Ability to identify and report atypical behaviors not covered by instructions and procedures.
• Create or assist others in writing of user documentation.
• Process automation in Excel/Python.

Your background:

• You are a student at a technical university (Geoinformatics preferred).
• Thorough person paying attention to details.
• Ability to manage different data formats and structures.
• General computer skills.
• Programming in VBA/Excel is a big plus.
• Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
• Ability to draw CAD images is a plus.
• Knowledge concerning relational databases is a plus.
