Internship – SCADA Engineer

Description

The primary objective of this role is to assist in building/testing an IT system for managing customer power system grid (SCADA type of systems) with focus on power generation (GMS) and transmission (EMS).

Your responsibilities:

• Assist in configuration SCADA applications.
• Assist in configuration GMS/EMS applications (power generation and transmission).
• Participate in business and functional tests.
• Create/test GUI with database references for data presentation (SCADA Displays).
• Working according to detailed instructions and/or test procedures.
• Ability to identify and report untypical behaviors not covered by instructions and procedures.
• Create or assist others in writing user documentation.
• Develop scripts in Excel/Python to automate process.

Your background:

• You are a university student with electrical engineering background (electrotechnics, electrical engineering, power electronics, automation, mechatronics or related field).
• Basic programming in C or C++ or C# or Python or VBA is a must.
• Basic knowledge of SCADA system is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of database (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL or equivalent) is a plus.
• Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
