Senior Cloud Solution Manager

Meet our Team

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Cloud Solution Manager our innovation team. We are working to change the way the company and our products interface with the cloud and we're looking for someone to help us build a world-class team. The candidate will primarily focus on managing the development and delivery of new hybrid cloud solutions and systems. This individual will be enthusiastic, articulate, and motivated, passionate about delivering fantastic products to our customers.

What you'll be doing

Key job functions include
• Develop and maintain project plans
• Own the change management process
• Manage and track project-related issues
• Maintain and groom the backlog for several projects
• Produce relevant communications to stakeholders
• Participate in scoping estimates and assist in developing project proposals
• Problem-solving
• Ensure the team employs a practical approach focused on delivering results
• Resource allocation
• Assist in the hiring and onboarding process
• Identify and help address knowledge gaps at the individual and team level

What you bring to the team

• Ability to work independently, dealing with day-to-day problems with minimal oversight
• Resource management and allocation to optimize results
• Ability to provide technical requirements
• Ability to adapt to changing project requirements
• Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills
• Project dashboard development
• Project progress tracking

Qualifications
• 15+ years of direct work experience in software development management
• Direct experience working with hybrid cloud solutions
• Working knowledge of AWS, GCP, and Azure
• Experience with Atlassian tools
• PMP Certified
• Agile Certified
• Knowledgeable in modern web application design principals
• Understanding of basic security principals
• Experience working in diverse teams

Not required but a strong plus
• Experience working on analytics projects
• Direct experience
• Work on transitioning projects between teams
• Ability to deal with significant scope change
• Familiarity with the storage domain
• Experience in the Scrum master role
• Previous work with cloud-based technologies
