This role will specialize in supporting our Internship & Power+ programs. This person will be traveling across the country setting up and attending career fairs at various Universities. Must be willing & able to travel within the US.  We anticipate high amounts of travel in the Fall, in order to attend career fairs, travel amounting annually to roughly 40%. The majority of travel will be along the East Coast.  The remaining time will be via a hybrid schedule, with the ability to work in the Raleigh office 1-2 days a week.

We seek Recruiters with direct experience handling and managing requisitions in a corporate environment. You will use this experience to positively influence hiring outcomes.

As a Recruiter, you will work together with other motivated and experienced HR and business professionals. You will have the opportunity to work in diverse areas of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management, and handle various tasks from identifying, attracting, assessing, retaining and advancing internal and external talent.

There will be close collaboration with our line managers, Global Business Services HR Partners, and Human Resources professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering talent processes with special focus on recruitment and partnering with HR leadership and business leaders to understand current talent challenges

  • Perform strategic activities in relation to integrated talent management

  • Act as internal talent broker and change agent to facilitate cross-organizational moves

  • Responsible for search within external talent pool and the internal Hitachi Energy talent pools to ensure internal career and development opportunities

  • Use data-based evidence to address hiring manager expectations about the labor market and recruiting process

  • Prepare a list of potential early career candidates and initiate discussions with current line managers

  • Ensure quality of posting and create short lists

  • Responsible for the candidate communication, interviews, assessments, and reference checks

  • Provide feedback and coaching to the interviewed/assessed internal/external candidates in accordance with local practice and laws

  • Effectively partner with other HR team members to ensure all coordination with candidates/hiring managers run smoothly and efficiently (job posting, candidate scheduling, job offer processing, etc.)

  • Conclude the selection process with the manager and the candidate, incl. offer negotiations

  • Liaise with HRBP/line managers to gain insight into the short/mid/long term business needs

  • Recommend continuous improvement to practices, processes, and policies to advance the Talent function

  • Educating the business on the Talent function and process

  • Reporting on KPIs to internal stakeholders to measure progress

  • Organize and attend recruitment career fairs and events are various schools across the United States in the Fall and Spring

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field with 2-4 years’ experience OR
  • Associates degree with 5 years’ experience of full life cycle recruiting including job brief, developing sourcing/marketing plan, candidate outreach and development, offer and close.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • Experience using CRM tools to source candidates and manage relationships
  • Experience recruiting for, and supporting, a large organization
  • Demonstrated success with various recruiting strategies and sourcing techniques
