The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Mission Statement:

Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products is implementing Digital solutions like Digital Passport System (DPS) & Digital Factory to become its global solution for global traceability, from suppliers to end-customers. DPS is a cloud-based platform that attaches unique digital identity and critical quality information to each of our products and allows immediate end-to-end identification and location of affected units if quality issues were detected. The Solution Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the technical architecture and integrating systems & programs for HV Business unit.

Your Responsibilities:

• Building and integrating information systems to meet the company’s needs for Digital Factory and DPS

• Assessing the systems architecture currently in place and working with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.

• Resolving technical problems as they arise.

• Providing supervision and guidance to development teams.

• Continually researching current and emerging technologies and proposing changes where needed.

• Informing various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.

• Assessing the business impact that certain technical choices have.

• Providing updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.

• Work closely with Project teams to drive implementation with the project schedule.

Your Background:

• Bachelor of Computer / Information Technology / Electrical engineering or equivalent, with overall experience of 10+ years and min 2 years of experience in Solution Architect role.

• Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design

• Skillset - ASP. Net, Azure, Angular, SQL based web applications.

• SAP, Windchill & Manufacturing Execution System exposure

• Should possess strong leadership skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.

• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
