Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Product Specialist – eMobility Services based in different locations.

Hitachi Energy's eMobility portfolio encompasses powerful cabinets, versatile interfaces, and digital services that enable efficient and convenient electric vehicle charging. This offering plays a significant role in facilitating the transition to clean transportation by providing high-performance charging and an optimized charging experience.

As the Global Product Specialist – eMobility Services, your main responsibility will be to oversee and optimize the services offering related to our eMobility portfolio, ensuring a strong return on investment. This involves gaining a comprehensive understanding of the eMobility technologies and market requirements, to ensure that we have the most appropriate services solutions offering.

You will have ownership of the eMobility services portfolio. Collaborating closely with R&D, operations, sales, marketing, and regional service teams, you will strive to enhance portfolio performance to deliver a best-in-class customer experience within a fast-paced environment of innovation and technological advancements.  

Your responsibilities


Support the Global Product Manager to create a portfolio of services for eMobility. Ensure Hitachi Energy has a full understanding of market needs and requirements across the lifecycle of eMobility assets and transform them into service solutions that lead to sustainable growth of the business, to ultimately deliver best-in-class trusted lifecycle partnerships for customers.

Main tasks:

Market Situation 

  • Stay updated on Global and Regional EV Charging standards, with special focus on NAM, market trends, and customer requirements, assessing their impact on the eMobility services portfolio. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of the services requirements for eMobility products and solutions.
  • Conduct market evaluations, competitor analyses, and identify gaps in solutions and services. 

Portfolio Development 

  • Gather and analyze regional and segment trends, requirements, and needs, identifying opportunities to contribute to the eMobility services roadmap.
  • Support the Global Product Manager in creating business cases for solutions and services development projects.
  • Support the Global Product Manager in defining digital solutions needed to enable configurable services.
  • Define services portfolio positioning to different segments like Public Transport, Commercial Fleet, and Charge Point Operators. 

Product marketing  

  • Support global and local marketing teams in creating market communication materials, including assistance with new services launches.
  • Serve as change-agent for service mindset & culture shift, through continuous engagement with demand-side (front-end sales) and global supply organization.

Offering to Market 

  • Keep Front-End Sales and Sales channels well-informed about Hitachi Energy's eMobility services offerings, including new products or features’ availability, market trends, competition, quality, and limitations.
  • Provide sales support, participate in customer meetings, ensuring the availability of appropriate training materials for internal and external use.

Process development 

  • Drive eMobility services solutions across Hitachi Energy's HBU and OU, following an annual cycle of activities to govern Global Product Management for the segment.
  • Assist HBU in selling and delivering one-off services and EnCompass agreements. 

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering along with at least 5 years of related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Services, preferably within eMobility or other related green-tech domains (Solar, Micro-Grid, Storage, Power Electronics, Power Distribution, Software), although other experience relevant to the role might be considered as well. 
  • Possess a technical mindset to serve as an expert, recognized by customers as well as Hitachi Energy’s services community.
  • Ability to simplify and present the value proposition of a complex offer.
  • Proficient in analyzing market potential through product segmentation, go-to-market channels, and developing business cases.
  • Strong expertise in digital tools and their application to services.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, up to 10%.
