About the business:

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2300 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, project Management, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation  and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest Operations hub.. The India Operations Centre team at Chennai, Bangalore and Gurugram supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Hitachi Energy To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Plans order execution from start to finish, including necessary activities, procurements, resources and milestones.

  • Establish, maintain and improve Customer Satisfaction by setting expectations and providing the expected value in accordance with the contract technical specifications. Have a drive to positively impact order performance.

  • Manage all customer technical related matters throughout the execution process.

  • Manage project variation preparation/scope identification of technical matters impacting time, scope and full cost model.

  • People demonstrating this competency communicates appropriate information to customer and others.

  • People demonstrating this competency manage scope including the collection and management of all order technical issues, whether just a question a change or a claim, with associated negotiations and approvals.

  • People demonstrating this competency identify, contain and reduce risk, and ensure that all opportunities for Customer Satisfaction, Gross Margin Improvement and/or Growth are captured and acted upon.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering – Electrical with transformer Industry Experience.

  • Should have 4+ years of experience through Quality management in transformer industry.

  • Strong and demonstrated experience in management of scope, cost, schedules and vendor/subcontractors.

  • Solid experience in managing orders, ideally managing complex orders and different contractual types.

  • Solid computer skills including SAP (highly preferable), MS project, Outlook, Visio.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and high attention to detail.
