HITACHI RAIL is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Senior Interlocking Work Package Leader Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. A successful candidate for this role is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks. These tasks will range from coordination of several departments belonging to IXL technology to the discussion of functional aspects with the final customer. This position is based in Munich.

Accountabilities:

  • Coordination with the project team.
  • Document creation, Configuration Management of Hardware and Software in the field.
  • Document control and verification.
  • Coordination and reporting of the work and cost progress of the project.
  • Reporting of deviation (if any) from the project schedule.
  • Develop test procedures from Requirements.
  • Develop Static and Dynamic test procedures.
  • Performing tests in the field.
  • Troubleshooting in the field.

Required Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Electrical Engineering – 7 years minimum.
  • Familiarity with Configuration Management and Requirement Management.
  • Should be able to read and understand standards and requirements specifications.
  • Familiarity with cost controlling, work progress and work package (WP).
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English and German
  • Familiar with development of test procedures and execution of testing in accordance with applicable standards (i.e., EN 50128, IEEE 1558, EN 50121-3-2, EN 50155, etc.)
  • Competence in Microsoft Office products.
  • 3-5 year experience in testing within the railway industry or any other regulated field.
  • Able to perform testing independently.
  • Familiarity with reading Electrical Schematics

Desired Skills/ Knowledge:

  • Ability to understand testing methods.
  • Knowledge of testing and reporting processes, methods and tools to implement process improvements.
  • Troubleshooting in the field.
  • Effective time management.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Customer Interface.
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management and Interface Management.
  • Ablility to read and troubleshoot schematics.
  • Contract Requirements Analysis.

Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree

Languages: English and German Proficiency, both on a professional level.
