Hitachi Energy Transformers is seeking a Global IT Manufacturing Digital Transformation Program Manager.

This role is accountable for overall MES Manufacturing Execution Systems strategic implementations and digital roadmap as the digital transformation program manager.  You will be providing contribution and value-add to the business, translating business goals into IT landscape and ensuring effective implementation in partnership with Functional/HUB organization.  You support development, deployment, and ensure communication and compliance of IT strategies/activities to maximize efficiency globally for all factories and Business processes for technology tools. 

Location:  Poland, Italy, Spain, UK are preferred locations.   

Other locations in Europe will be considered.

Your Responsibilities

Business Strategy - Understanding business demands, the current and long-term strategy and identifying opportunities for IT to add value to the business.  Setting and executing strategic IT priorities in the organization in line with the BU and HUB strategy, covering business functions application landscape, utilizing the existing IT solutions portfolio, and ensuring to provide new solutions where applicable.  Tactical and long term IT Strategy roadmaps for internal IT tools used in manufacturing/ field services and functions around the manufacturing execution, digitalization of manufacturing, IT/OT convergence, and business analytics reporting.

Business Process-  Perform and maintain business process mapping of business requirements for all manufacturing applications and business analytics reports to IT applications capabilities including application system integration.  Perform IT related business process audits and project gate reviews.

IT Processes/ IT Projects- Orchestrating the IT organization to support and deliver on the demand priorities, managing the IT aspects of Strategic Business Initiatives and alignment with Strategic Programs.  Implementing and ensuring compliance with global and local standards, tools, processes related to operations/projects execution.  Sharing and developing best practices across HUB/Factory IT community. 

Responsible for project scopes of work, FDD Functional Design Specifications, Master Data Definitions, integrations to MS Azure EDP Data Lake, Steecos and all implementation rollout program plans and execution. Provide advanced understanding to business stakeholders and factories/ end users of IT Architecture standards and target applications guidance. Responsible for overall roadmaps and scalability of projects across all factories ensuring Gates and execution is followed per the designed specifications.

BU Global Focal Point-  Act as IT business partner within the BU. Representing IT in the business, establishing strong relationship with the business leaders and acting as an owner of overall IT BU landscape and BU escalation point for all IT related issues.   

Accountable for the total IT offering into business. Articulating the needs of the business to relevant IT partners to ensure impactful support to the business   

Foster communication between BU and IT organization    

Ensuring alignment of IT roadmap to business needs through communication and active feedback loops between stakeholders and IT organization 

Business Governance/ IT Governance: Responsible for manufacturing strategic tools global standards and application design is developed to BU IT standards and implemented across all factories.  Forecast and manage IT build and run  budget and investments and creating transparency on business unit IT costs. 

Analyzing all internal and external IT audits and identify common area of improvement within the global organization. Overall responsibility that the established business process, Hitachi Energy IT governance processes and standards around architecture, application management, infrastructure, and master data security, and cyber security are followed in all factories/sites.

Management- Providing IT Leadership and guidance across function /HUB/GPG. Ensuring properly organized area of responsibility and building an effective, capable and high performing team.  Management of internal or external employees in BU IT Team including direction, execution of all work, employee performance management.

Administration- Ensuring all IT Build project work is executed to the Agile or Gate method process and all documentation is maintained in established regional document management data base.  Setting standard documentation for audits and its records, findings, and reports.  Management of purchases, budgets, and Capex handling for strategic projects related to PGTR BU IT projects including oversight for overall TechTool Budget.

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in Manufacturing Execution Systems implementation and rollouts in both manufacturing and field services environments.

  • 5 years of experience in project management of complex global projects including IT system integration.

  • Experience with manufacturing operations methods, process, and change management.

  • Experience in complex stakeholder scenarios, cross-functional problem solving and good understanding of IT procedures and policies, together with end-to-end business processes knowledge.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate fluently in English in a global multicultural diverse environment.

  • Flexibility to work in different time zones and business travel up to 25%.
