Description:

As a Lead Digital Modeler you will have a leading role in a project modeling team and lead a team of 5-15 digital modelers. You will be mainly responsible for delivering Digital shape models with quality according to agreed standards. The job covers resource planning for the team as well as keeping the total overview of the work within the team. The project team is kept the same from early phase sketch modeling to class-A. Ability to work in a sometimes stressful and demanding environment is important. You will need to have the ability to interact and fit into a small, highly motivated, multi-functional team that is working in a rapid, simultaneous engineering environment. The role offers the rare opportunity to take ownership in the development of new vehicles.

Requirements:

- Expert skills in using Alias / Icem Surf or related software.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in digital modeling.
- Technical university or equivalent, solid working experience from the automotive industry is required.
- A very good understanding and knowledge of design, shape and technical demands.
- Ability to work in cross functional teams and lead a modeling team.
- Strong interest in Automotive technology, and experience from automotive industry.

Beneficial:
- Knowledge from VRED is a plus.
- CATIA experience is a plus.
- Teamcenter experience.

The successful candidate must have the ability to meet tight deadlines, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to work independently. You must be able to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with external and internal teams at all levels across the company.

Typical job duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for delivering digital shape models based on scan data, design/physical models, sketches or verbal instructions.
- Understand and implement technical input in the design model.
- Visualize your work for designers, managers prior to release/milling to identify problems with design or model quality.
- Lead and support the Digital modeling team within the project.
- Resource planning along with delegate and prioritize tasks in the group and have the overall track.
- Have overall responsibility for the operational work of the project modeling team.
