As a Project Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring effective project control, managing risks, and maintaining financial excellence. Your Responsibilities

  • Be a crucial part of project team and leave your footprint throughout all phases of a projects lifecycle

  • Be a driving force in contract, scope, and change management. Leverage your understanding of project T&C's to maximize cash flow, improve margins, and mitigate risks throughout the tender phase.

  • Dive into the initiation and setup phase of projects. Support the handover process from tender, review tender cost calculations, and initiate internal project kick-off meetings.

  • Be a risk champion! Identify potential risks, document their financial impact, and actively monitor and manage them. Identify opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of the project's impact on cash flow, revenue and margin - proactively managing and optimizing it. Collaborate closely with the project manager to achieve or surpass financial targets.

  • Immerse yourself in project reviews, actively participating and providing valuable insights that drive success.

  • Take charge of issuing customer invoices based on compelling motivation documentation, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

  • Demonstrate your expertise in subcontracting monitoring, claim management handling, and ensure financial compliance at project sites.

  • Follow internal control and audit procedures, ensuring adherence to corporate governance, internal control frameworks, and finance directives.- Be part of the project's close-out phase, where you will book the warranty provision, clear projects in the ERP system, and skillfully archive final financial project documentation.

  • Bring your innovative thinking to the table during lessons learned sessions, proposing sustainable solutions to challenges encountered.

  • Collaborate with auditors, clarifying controlling-related requests, and support project managers in maintaining financial compliance.

  • Champion best practices! Continuously enhance our processes, tools, and reporting methods, aiming for operational excellence and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Embody leadership qualities, seamlessly bridging different perspectives, tailoring communication strategies, and building a network of collaborators. Coach and guide individuals and teams toward success.


Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

  • Proven experience in project controlling, financial management, or related roles.

  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and financial tools (SAP FI/PS)

  • Knowledge of revenue recognition methods, IFRS, and financial reporting standards.

  • Demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for digitalization initiatives in finance and project control.

  • Experience with international collaboration and working in diverse, cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Willingness to travel (25%)

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Leadership abilities to guide and coach individuals or teams.

  • Familiarity with risk management and internal control practices.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
