Operations / Branch Manager - Sydney

Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. With a network of branches nationally, we service a multitude of customers, including construction, agriculture, quarry, and mining with leading OEM equipment and after sales support.

This is a challenging senior management role with full P&L responsibility. This Sydney based role requires a dynamic individual with a proven track record looking to build a long term career with an employer of choice.

This role is responsible for the management of the Sydney, Newcastle and Canberra branch operations which are focused on the sales and related after market support of construction and mining equipment.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring effective operations and compliance from a safety and environmental perspective
• Leading staff to achieve branch budgets and operating objectives
• Developing and successfully implementing strategies to achieve efficiencies and increase market share
• The building and maintenance of strong working relationships with staff, customers, suppliers and other internal departments

To be successful you will need:

• Experience in management of a branch or business unit with a proven record of achieving safety, commercial and operational objectives
• Strong knowledge of the Construction and / or Mining industry
• Commercial and Financial acumen
• Excellent communication, negotiation and people management skills
• Tertiary qualifications or trades background with proven management experience
