The Opportunity

HCA's Perth branch has an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified and experienced Technical Report Writer. The main focus of the role is to compile detailed technical reports relating to our remanufactured components for internal and external customers. You will also:

  • Conduct failure investigations for Reman components with the support of the product support team
  • Creating technical reports for warranty claim
  • Creating and updating report templates to industry standards
  • Maintain records relating to component failure mode data and monitor failure trends
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth technical understanding of the relevant Hitachi Reman product and customer expectations

Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role you will have relevant mechanical trade or engineering qualifications. You will also have:

  • Demonstrated Post Trade experience in similar technical role with a strong technical background (Preferably with earthmoving equipment but we will also consider engineers for this role)
  • Excellent report writing ability including sound knowledge of Failure Analysis processes
  • Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes within engineering and earthmoving industries
  • Excellent communication and intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Word & Excel
