Description

We are seeking a new Manager for our Environmental Verification team at Hitachi Energy in Ludvika, Sweden. The environmental verification team currently comprises of six people, with another five recruitments ongoing. The team has extensive knowledge and experience in testing our electrical products in the laboratory under a range of different environmental conditions, including high/low temperature, humidity, EMC testing, etc., as well as confirming our products adhere to all relevant international standards.

This role will require a mix of both managerial and technical skills and you will be one of our prestigious departmental line managers with flexible working arrangements together with a competitive compensation package.

Your responsibilities

  • Manage the Environmental Verification team which currently comprises of six experienced engineers (with another five recruitments ongoing) and help create an innovative & productive environment.
  • Ensure the testing laboratories are well maintained both in terms of equipment requirements and safety.
  • Plan and control the departmental budget.
  • Set and follow-up on annual targets.

Your background

  • The successful candidate shall have an M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electronics, Engineering or similar area.
  • Prior managerial experience working with a team.
  • Knowledge of environmental testing procedures, EMC testing, and adherence to relevant international standards.
  • Practical knowledge in laboratory work.
  • Experience or knowledge about working in an Agile® organization, preferably SAFe®.
  • You are a self-motivated and reliable team player with an independent and result oriented working style, as well as having strong communicative and collaborative skills.
  • Fluency in English is required, both written and spoken, to enable interaction with a wide variety of stakeholders.
