General information

We are creating from scratch new industrial IoT platform which will be used to provide best in class protection software for Power Grids. Our system is mission critical to keep lights on.

Since project is creating from scratch, we are using cutting edge technologies on practice not only in paper. In daily work you will be able coding in JavaScript frameworks & libraries, with significant attention on React. The User Interface build in CSS (made using CSS-in-JS) from the Design Mockups hast to sand up to the highest performance standards and responsiveness. So, the work will be equally challenging and giving the opportunities to growth for yourself while requiring modern standards-based development. All the work is made in Agile SLDC.

Because you will be part of a team some experience on collaborative design tools such as Figma will be needed.

Your responsibilities

• Working in a cross-disciplinary team using the Agile development methodology
• Code development in JavaScript, React, CSS-in-JS
• Ensuring best in class web performance and responsiveness of the product
• Becoming a valuable part of a team working in Agile SDLC methodology
• Producing code with TDD mindset

Your background

Required:

• Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university in computer science, information sciences or a related field
• 3+ years of hands-on development experience with JS, React, CSS, Typescript
• Hands on knowledge in following areas:
  • Git version control system
  • Building web applications from Design Mockups
  • Knowledge of web performance best practices
  • Writing easy to understand, maintainable code
  • In depth knowledge regarding service worker caching and Progressive Web Application’s best practices
  • working within an Agile SDLC
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux based systems and technologies
• Experience with collaborative design tools such as Figma
• Experience in Test Driven Development
• Experience with integrate 3rd party libraries and UI kits into an application
• Excellent communication in English to explain and document your ideas and plans for different audiences
• Experience in working in a globally distributed team is a plus
• Open minded and would like to learn and develop yourself and your software engineering skills

Nice to have:

• Experience in infrastructure & systems-level technologies: e.g., Linux, Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with GIS data like vector tiles and GeoJSON
• Experience with Mapbox or OpenLayers
