General information

As a Cyber Security Architect, you will be responsible for establishing cybersecurity requirements for a new architecture of the Network Manager solution. Working on new architecture will require thinking about existing solutions and existing customers. You will need to influence and lead global teams towards better and more solutions.

The role requires the ability to work with the global R&D team, as well as the manager, to demonstrate the value proposition. This includes assessing the current application and infrastructure environment, performing a gap analysis, and recommending the to-be cybersecurity standards.

Reporting to Eryk Zajdel, you will work in a collaborative environment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Ensuring our project and service deliverables meet the defined cyber security requirements outlined between Hitachi Energy and our customers.
  • Introducing new cyber security-related policies, standards, and practices.
  • Actively contributing to identifying, managing, and reducing cyber security risks.
  • Representing Hitachi Energy as a cyber security expert in customer discussions.
  • Participating in cyber security risk assessments as a subject-matter expert.
  • Cooperating with software development teams, ensuring cyber security expectations are met and exceeded.

Your background:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Proven experience in Cyber Security, ideally within a similar environment
  • Good understanding design and implementation of Cyber specific projects and systems
  • Cyber security architecture, defense in depth, default deny, least privilege, compartmentalization, privileged initiation, RBAC, etc.
  • Good understanding of basic cyber security controls like; IDS/IPS (host and network), hardening, security policies, Malware Protection, Filtering, NGFW, etc.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
