We are looking for a talented Test Engineer to join Avid's Platform Engineering Team. You will be supporting the cloud and on-premise testing and supporting the Avid Platform as part of the Avid Everywhere strategy.

As a key member of Cloud Engineering, you will be part of a team of highly motivated engineers and software QA working in an efficient Agile/Scrum environment. The ideal candidate will have minimal experience and good theoretical knowledge of testing, have minimal programming experience, and be willing to learn new technologies.

Technologies stack: frontend - React, backend - Java, tests - Groovy/Java, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Requirements:

Required Background

• BS/BA in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Practical experience with Bash, Java or Groovy (Candidate will be asked to resolve simple programming task)
• Linux user experience
• Good investigation, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Git
• English - good written and verbal communication skills

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

• Understanding of the testing methodology and approaches
• Familiarity with test frameworks (Selenium)

Job Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for delivering against the following objectives:

• Contribute to UI framework testing.
• Manual testing of new features
• Create scripts, integration, and automated tests to ensure product quality.
• Participate in the CI/CD pipeline building and support.
• Work in cooperation with teams to help troubleshoot issues and testing during upgrades and daily operations.
