Job Title: Assistant Sales Manager, IPB

Job Summary:

You will be part of our Industrial Products Business (IPB) where we Supply, Install and Maintain of our Hitachi Industrial Products equipment to Clients that include mainly in Compressor Business, Pump, UPS and MV Drives and collaboration with other business units or group companies on smart initiatives.

Your primary responsibility is to drive sales growth by achieving targets and creating value-added experiences for our customers and for our IPB Business. You will play a crucial role in identifying and developing new business opportunities within ASEAN with focus on 3 countries (Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam). Your expertise in building relationships, coordinating technical discussions, and understanding customer needs will contribute to the success of our sales initiatives. Moreover, your role involves fostering collaboration between the engineering team and customers, ensuring seamless pre-sales and after-sales activities, and participating in project tenders and negotiations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business opportunities within the Petrochemical and Industrial Systems sector across the ASEAN region with focus on 3 countries (Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam).
  • Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis to stay informed about industry trends and potential growth areas.
  • Coordinate commercial and technical discussions between customers and the engineering team, facilitating the exchange of information and ensuring alignment.
  • Gather customer feedback to drive product and solution improvements and recommend suitable enhancements to address customer needs effectively.
  • Serve as a bridge between the engineering team and customers, ensuring the delivery of optimal solutions that fulfil customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project tenders and negotiations.
  • Strive to exceed departmental order and sales targets to contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Additional Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant working experience in the Petrochemical & Industrial Systems industry.
  • Preferred candidates will have project sales experience in Petrochemical/Industrial Systems.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of achieving targets and driving business growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.
  • Self-driven, independent, and resourceful in problem-solving.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.

This role will report to the [IPB Deputy General Manager].
