We are currently seeking an experienced Field Service Plant Mechanic to join our team based in Revesby to conduct maintenance, servicing and repairs of Hitachi and Bell earthmoving and forestry equipment.

As a key member of the team, you will need enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and dedication to providing outstanding customer service.

To be successful in this role you must possess the following skills:


  • Relevant Trade Qualification of "Heavy Diesel Mechanic"
  • Proven experience working on earthmoving equipment
  • A MR License, "Working at heights" qualifications and an EWP License will be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Ability to navigate computer programs for diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • A strong safety focus with a sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with sound ability to meet requirements set by the company and Hitachi's customers
  • Willingness to be flexible with travel, and work outside of normal trading hours to meet customer requirements

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnostic, repairs and maintenance of new and used equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications
  • Provide support within the Sydney metro and regional areas as required
  • Attend delivery handovers of new equipment to customer sites
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
  • Provide timely customer service while maintaining a clean and tidy work environment in line with the Company and customer standards
