Our project is a cloud-based post-production solution that can be deployed and scaled on demand and provides a full SaaS-based virtual post-production environment in the cloud-complete with cloud-optimized Media Composer software and Avid NEXIS storage.

Requirements:

REQUIRED

• Understanding of a SDLC and Agile principles, Agile mindset
• 2+ years of experience in QA with understanding of test theory
• 2+ years of experience in automation testing
• Experience with creating automated tests for backend applications HTTP/REST
• Experience with Java
• Facilitation skills
• Fluent English and good communication skills - work with a global distributed team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive and innovative

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in the Scrum Master role 1+ years
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery tools (GitLab/GitHub)
• Experience with noSQL databases (MongoDB, etc)
• Familiarity with Cloud technologies and providers (Azure or AWS) will be a big plus

Job Responsibilities:

Maintaining and contributing to the Test Framework
Active participation in design, implementation, and execution of different types of the tests (e.g., functional, integration, and performance test cases), test results analysis, tracking test coverage and performance trends
Guiding the teams on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
Guiding the teams on how to get the most of out self-organization
Participating in all activities for delivering features to customers (estimating efforts, planing, etc)
Communications with product owner and architect to help team to define requirements and expected results
Assisting with internal and external communication within entire development organization

We are looking for a talented Automation QA, who understands that Quality Assurance is not only about testing, but about processes and who can play the role of a Scrum Master as well as Automation Test Engineer, to join Avid's Platform Engineering Team.
You will be supporting the cloud and on-premise testing, testing Platform infrastructure and core services, and supporting the Avid Platform as part of the Avid Everywhere strategy.
As a key member of Cloud Engineering, you will be part of a team of highly motivated engineers and software QA working in an efficient Agile/Scrum environment.
