Brake Test Manager

Description

General Responsibilities:

Manage product release through validation, analysis, failure investigation

Supervise the reporting of test results for foundation brake parts in line with internal / Customer

specifications

Job Responsibilities:

The main duties and responsibilities include the following: 

• Testing process
  • Ensure execution of the validation as per standards.
  • Ensure the availability of test / mating components.
  • Track the test execution and update DVP.
  • Analyze the test results and observations.
  • Release of validation / test reports.
• Planning
  • Equipment planning.
  • Identification of gaps in testing and improve.
  • Maintain the up keeping of equipment.
• Communication
  • Timely update of validation / test status to PE.
  • Equipment calibration.
• Team Management
  • Foster a climate of teamwork and motivation within the team by encouraging entrepreneurship mindset, professional development and growth of employees (assessment, training, coaching and mentoring).
  • Ensure the deployment of the company communication to the team
  • Ensure appropriate work environment for the team
  • Guide test technician / engineer in smooth and correct test execution.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidatewill

• Key ProfessionalCompetences: Overall Deep product knowledge (Brakes, e-Actuation, Electric brakes), Good scientific, mechanical and mechatronic knowledge, Software and System Quality Assurance knowledge, Functional Management, Financial Management, Negotiation skills
• Professional and technical knowledge : Redaction ability and good knowledge of MS office, Testing and validation expertise, Working tools: benches and equipments knowledge,
• Fluent English language.
• Key Personal Competencies: Rigor & Organization, Collaboration & Team Work, Stress & Pressure / Being Resilient, Analytical & Problem Solving, Implementation & Result Orientation

Additionally, the ability to work independently with minimal direction is required as are strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with PCs and application software, such as MS Office tools is also required.

Education: Bachelor/Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in tesing, with managerial experience

Working conditions:

• Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• On site working: mainly

• Travel: Domestic and international may be required as needed. The candidate will occasionally need to travel to multiple global locations to support project development.
