IT Application Specialist

Mission Statement:

The Application Specialist is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of PL/SQL applications on the Celonis platform. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in PL/SQL development, as well as experience with Celonis. A good understanding of Vertica DB is also a plus.

Your Responsibilities:

• IS Service Delivery Collaborates with IS Service Managers, Application Manager, Solution Architect and Specialists to estimate the effort for IS solution/services development, change requests and releases.  Is responsible for entire requirements management process. Ensure that the final solution meets business objectives and adds to the bottom line.

• Business Processes Understands the related business processes in detail and applies this knowledge to shape and align IT solution/services building and delivery activities.

• IS Processes Assists in the installation, management, maintenance, and optimization of internal and cross-functional processes related to IS Services.

• IS Technology Acts as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in relevant area of responsibility, contributing technical and business process/data expertise to either support ongoing operations or develop new software.

• Governance For assigned tasks, executes all actions in IS processes according to agreed RACIS specification.

• Strategy Keeps up to date and informed of any change, or planned change, of the PG IS Enterprise Architecture and IT Strategy. Also of any incident, change or project which has or might have a major impact on the relevant part of the service. 

• People leadership and development Provides guidance or support to temporary work teams, guiding and monitoring task completion, sharing expert knowledge and advice without carrying line responsibility. 

• Design, develop, and maintain PL/SQL applications in the Celonis environment.

• Work with business users to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements.

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with PL/SQL applications.

• Stay up to date on the latest PL/SQL and Celonis features.

• Work with other IT staff to ensure that PL/SQL applications are integrated with other systems.

• Document PL/SQL applications and procedures.

Your Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

• 7+ years of experience in PL/SQL development.

• Strong understanding of Celonis.

• Experience with other programming languages, such as python

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Good to have experience on SAP Process Mining /Celonis

• A good understanding of Vertica DB is also a plus.
