Description:

Our client is looking for a talented software engineer to join our Media Composer Audio Team. The candidate will contribute to advancing the audio capability of Media Composer, our client's flagship professional video editor. Our client's products are used in the most recognizable films and TV shows streamed and broadcast around the world. The Audio Team contributes to the audio capability of Media Composer across file formats, real-time audio playback, audio effects, audio user interfaces, and interoperability with Avid Pro Tools.

Requirements:

At least 4 years of experience in software development

BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering or Math

Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented design and development in C++

Some level of experience with audio or video editing, signal processing, or music technology

Performance optimization experience, including multithreading

Experience successfully making changes in the context of a large, complex, and largely unfamiliar software system

Experience programming on either Windows or macOS

Understanding of professional audio standards is highly desirable (file formats, time code, etc.)

Comfortable with working in a multi-site distributed team using Agile/Scrum

Creative and innovative mindset

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Job Responsibilities:

Independently design and implement high-quality software in C++

Implement real-time algorithms using advanced multi-threaded concepts

Program on both Windows and macOS operating systems

Design and implement automation to accompany all features

Translate requests from a scrum Product Owner into working, maintainable production code

Participate in daily stand-up scrum meetings to share progress and obstacles

Communicate clearly in both written and spoken English
