This role is for a Program Manager who would be responsible for managing stakeholders and growth of business units within the Engineering teams. It is a good role for a person looking to get back into the technical domain with the technical knowledge and help scale the business.


  • 8-10 years of experience in project management is preferred
  • Experience in leading large projects in an Enterprise environment for software development
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact, communicate, and build relationships with all levels of personnel, internal and external
  • Excellent attention to detail, and strong organizational skills, with an ability to manage and prioritize competing internal and external demands
  • Solid skills in influencing, teaming, and delivering solutions in a highly complex and nebulous environment. Ability to conceive of, and accept responsibility for, projects and initiatives, and see them through to completion
  • Familiarity with CRM or management systems such as Salesforce, JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Leading projects in a fast-paced, growing organization
  • Drive customer upgrades, adoption, consumption, retention, and expansion
  • Work without close supervision and with a proactive, goal-oriented attitude
  • Define, adopt, and maintain processes, systems management concepts, and standards to be used in day-to-day activities
  • Develop and track detailed project plans, schedules, dependencies, critical paths
  • Help document best practices and lessons learned in developing and deploying VMware solutions and feed them into our knowledge base for reuse by the team, customers, and partners
  • Present custom solutions and articulate how business requirements are met to all levels of customer resource, from operators and consumers to the highest management staff
  • Secure and assign resources per project needs
  • Clearly communicate with customers and upper management any risk areas; come up with risk mitigation plans

  • Solid technical acumen in at least 2 of the following areas: Datacenter infrastructure, Operating systems, Desktop deployments, Cloud, Networking, Security, System Administration, or technical architecture
  • Preferably with industry certifications such as ITIL, Scrum, PMP, etc
  • IT Bachelor's degree or equivalent IT work experience preferred

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the relationship with the assigned customers and vendors
  • Responsible for the introduction of new products or services to existing or new customers
  • Take ownership of program development, planning and execution
  • Gathers all necessary information in order to be able to reply to customer in time
  • Manage program risks
  • Provide quick resolution for problems and roadblocks
  • Monitor Project health and step in when a project goes off-track
  • Provide quick resolutions for project issues
  • Optimize performance across the program value chain applying continual improvement best practices
  • Ensure that the program integrates with the required processes organization-world wide
  • Develop and maintain a program schedule with milestones
  • Supporting and executing on the budget plan for the program including cost optimization
  • Manage program communication
  • Coordinate and manage program meetings
  • Strengthen relationship with executives, customers and key staff
  • Ensuring appropriate reporting is provided in a timely manner
