Senior Robotics Process Engineer

Description

As a Senior Robotics Process Engineer, you will work with some of the most talented engineers in the automation industry.  This role will enable you to facilitate projects while integrating some of the most state of the art robotics & technology available.  The innovative solutions we work on offer diverse experiences that will strengthen your skills and challenge your abilities.  

What You’ll Do:  

• Provide technical support to Applications Engineering team to specify the correct peripheral equipment and robots for quotes.
• Develop interfaces with peripheral devices.
• Subject matter expert for design reviews.
• Recognize and implement design and workflow improvements. 
• Develop simulations with multiple platforms for internal and external process validations
• Use exposure to cycle time improvement initiatives to optimize robot applications.
• Configure robot I/O (including communications)
• Set parameters for application equipment
• Provide consulting support for internal/external teams.

What You’ll Bring: 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, or Mechatronics or related field OR Associates degree (2-year) with 2+ years of related experience
• 5+ years of related experience   

Skills You’ll Have:  

• Experience with Vision applications, Code development and Tracking.
• Familiar with robot peripheral devices, Tool Center Points, Offline programming software, External Axis, User Frames, Base Frames and Work Objects.
• Experience with one or more robot applications: Material Handling, Dispense (Urethane, Sealer, Adhesive, Paint), Welding (Spot, Arc, Laser)
• Experience with any of the following: Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, Kawasaki or Kuka robots.
• Knowledge to lead others. 

Other Details:  

• Travel up to 35% - 50% to customer sites & other JR locations
• May represent the organization in communications and conferences.
• Lead teams and influence project direction and progress. 
• Serve as a technical expert in the department and may mentor/train developing engineers.
• Delegate tasks and coordinate work.
