HV Product Service is a business unit within Hitachi Energy located in Ludvika, Sweden. The unit has worldwide responsibility for the LTBs and it is also assuring the coverage for all HV portfolio in Sweden. Within the Supplier Quality and Sustainability Organization, our mission is to ensure that purchased materials for our production units always keep high quality level. As Supplier Quality Engineer you will be responsible for one or several product areas and perform preventive quality assurance along with supplier development.

Your responsibilities

• As a Supplier Quality and Sustainability Engineer, you will be responsible for product complaints of supplied material from external Suppliers.
• Drive & monitor the supplier process- and part- qualification to ensure that your supply base is and remain fully qualified and compliant. Support supplier onboarding along with Category Manager and buyer via SAP Ariba.
• Perform required product surveillance at supplier manufacturing site and drive improvements and sustainability projects with focus on external suppliers.
• Represent the “Voice of Supplier” to Hitachi Energy, e.g. R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality, and Manufacturing.
• Conduct regular supply quality reviews with local manufacturing units to set the improvement focus and help to ensure proper reporting from local to global systems.
• Supplier Development: execute improvement projects along with Supplier- and Hitachi- team to generate quality improvements and cost reductions.
• The role requires close cooperation with category teams, responsible buyers, Q&OPEX, Sustainability/HSE, R&D/Engineering and project tender teams, among others.

Your background

• You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering and/or equivalent technical competence and several years of working experience in Quality
• Fluency in Swedish and English language, both written and spoken
• Excellent communication skills, internally and in your communication with others in a multicultural environment
• It is qualifying with product knowledge, High Voltage Circuit Breaker
• You have experience within Production or design
• Experience of working with suppliers
• You know how to build a successful team
• Experience of SNCRP and Synergy is a merit
• Experience within machinery or industry
• Used tools: SAP Ariba, SNCRP, Synery, SAP, PowerBI, Share Point, Teams and OneNote, MS Office, Minitab, FMEA & Audit tools
