To reinforce our Control Engineering team, we're seeking a motivated Engineer with a keen interest in power electronics and control technology. If you possess quick perception, independence, a structured approach, and proactive work style, this challenge is tailor-made for you - join us.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan control and protection systems for power electronic converter projects, including aiding the sales department in the concept and tender phase.

  • Create specifications for control software programming and documentation, along with fabrication and test documentation for hardware.

  • Select auxiliary components, define technical requirements, and establish interfaces with sub-suppliers.

  • Design software using Matlab/Simulink, with possible support in 800xA Compact Control Builder and/or Codesys for sequence control.

  • Verify software on real-time simulators and during on-site installations.

  • Initiate software deployment and operate as a support specialist for the service group and customers.

  • Conduct on-site commissioning and customer training.

  • Collaborate across projects and teams.
     

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (University/Technical College, Bachelor's or Master's) with substantial experience in process control and software design using Matlab/Simulink (additional knowledge of 800xA Control Builder or another structured text language is advantageous).

  • In-depth knowledge in power electronics and control (Static Frequency Converters).

  • Fluent in English; strong German language skills are a plus.

  • Enthusiasm for global travel and willingness to commit 15% of working time to commissioning.

  • Responsible team player with exceptional communication abilities.

  • Quick learner for new applications and procedures.

  • Experience in a multicultural/international environment.
