Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products, is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. The Service unit is responsible for the worldwide after sales support of generator circuit-breaker (GCB) systems and gas insulated switchgears (GIS), including training, installation and commissioning, scheduled maintenance, added value services, troubleshooting, extensions, retrofits and replacements.

We are looking for competent, open minded and motivated Commissioning Engineer to join our team. In this versatile position, we offer you plenty of free space for your ideas as well as extensive travels - including longer and very interesting stays abroad. Being the contact person for our customers, you will be close to the product and able to participate directly at the construction site.

Your Responsibilities

  • You are in charge of the Commissioning / testing of the system in cooperation with the customer representatives.

  • Your ensure the correct function of the system in accordance with the specifications and the scope of supply.

  • You are responsible to spot and immediately report any deviations to the engineering specifications, inputs or targets and to plan corrective actions and to enforce them in cooperation with Hitachi Energy project manager or lead engineer.

  • You ensure that all work done within his fields of activities are carried out according to site safety regulations and procedures to avoid any accidents.

  • Further you ensure that the site environmental protection measures are followed.

  • You participate at site meetings as required by the various site organizations.

Your background

  • You hold at least a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanics or a related field.

  • You gained first experience in Commissioning and/or Control System Engineering 

  • You speak German and English fluently 

  • You are an independent personality with the ability to operare reliably even under difficult circumstances 

  • Having site service experience is a plus 

  • You are willing to work on missions around the globe (up to 70% of your time)
