Platform Engineer

Description

Management of new product development

• Responsible to design the mechanical / mechatronic components for future brake products.
• Realise and/or supervise all necessary technical justifications (analytical calculation, simulation, tolerance analysis …) and related synthesis (design reviews) to ensure proper design release at each development phase.
• Interface with system / hardware / software teams to ensure design to requirements.
• Follow the pilot project and bring the components he’s in charge of until 1st serial production.
• Contribute to new ideas and patents generation.

Supervision and coordination of drawing, testing and industrial feasibility

• Supervise the draftsman activity and drawings content.
• Animate simultaneous engineering activities with suppliers, Hitachi’s manufacturing center and plant(s) to ensure industrial feasibility of the product.
• Coordinate and follow the testing activities with the validation department.
• Ensures technical deliverables on time / on spec according to Hitachi’s innovation and platform development processes

Product guidelines maintenance

• Define and maintain the product guidelines and the standard rules to be applied during customer application project
