GlobalLogic have a new contract role, working Inside IR35 for an initial 6 months. We are looking for an IT Configuration Management Lead to run the Asset and Configuration Management function and work closely with the Global Head of IT Service Management
Whilst we expect that this will be a fully remote role, we would also be looking for candidates who are willing to travel as and when neededRequirements:
Proven management skills and experience in various roles, (e.g. technology and business operations) leading dynamic organizations
10+ years (or equivalent experience) of proven and progressive experience incorporating service management principles and asset / config management in particular
5+ years (or equivalent experience) managing Technology Service Management teams and processes
Excellent communication, inter-personal and negotiating skills, focusing on remote and written communications, inclusive of ability and experience in interacting with senior and external regulatory personnel
Ability to make recommendations to upper management, based both on subjective and objective information - consulting skills
Excellent decision making and problem solving ability
Sound judgmental skills to identify and resolve problems
Experience in managing resources using appropriate communication, delegation and planning skills, preferably in a matrix functional environment
Ability to motivate and lead people, employing appropriate management styles
Experience of leading geographically dispersed teams.
Strong analytical skills to understand and use metrics to draw conclusions
Solid partner/stakeholder interaction - customer oriented
Ability to deal with conflict - negotiation skills
Leadership & Teamwork
Work collaboratively with process leads for other Service Management areas to ensure that base data supports all SM lifecycle
Provide clarity for all IT for where centralized services deliver & where federated processes place responsibility
Gain support for changes you propose and identify / align funding sources to make it happen

IT Service Owner engagement & clarity on activities they are responsible for.
Management of existing risk issues
Create clarity for any extant risk including future / horizon scanning

Accountable for Process, Data and Technology strategy and roadmap for IT Configuration Management
Responsible for design, processes and tooling that enable the technology team to meet configuration, asset and inventory management control obligations
Responsible for translating data model into operations
Enable efficient service management operations across technology by ensuring that other teams are able to operate using central IT Configuration, Asset and Inventory systems
Responsible for identifying and implementing efficiencies in IT Configuration, Asset and Inventory Management processes
Responsible for provision of roadmap and plans for improvements in Configuration and Asset Management KCIs
Lead IT management response for any audit points / risk issues relating to IT Configuration, Asset & Inventory Management
