Description:
• Sr Ruby Engineer will be responsible for the successful implementation of functionality as agreed upon in the scrum planning.
• The candidate will provide mentorship and guidance as needed, do code reviews, and closely collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery and mutual understanding and agreement on scope, process, and timelines.
• Good understanding of the syntax of Ruby and its nuances
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming

Requirements:
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
• Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{e.g. Git, Mercurial or SVN}}
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed Remotely and the salary range will be $125,000/yr to $135,000/yr and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good faith estimate and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.

Preferences:
• GlobalLogic is looking for a strong Senior Ruby Developer to help execute a UI/UX migration program.
• A successful candidate is an expert in Ruby and preferably has a good understanding of the React framework.
• He/She will collaborate with the Customer SMEs and ensure that the best practices and coding requirements are being followed as expected.

Job Responsibilities:
• Understanding of functional programming style in Ruby
• Skills for writing reusable Ruby libraries that may be used in expressive ways.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
