The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.
Mission Statement:
As a member of the Product team in the PGGA Business unit, you will collaborate with a diverse group of talented engineers from around the world.
Your Responsibilities:
Test Environment is to be created with MicroSCADA application in the Test Lab Facility, with Computers, Servers, Switches and Simulation Environments.
Validate the existing customer application and document the existing database, HMI Pictures, Protocol information, special configurations.
Create test plan with timelines.
Upgrade the existing customer application to the latest MicroSCADA X versions and validate the application has been properly migrated.
Document the test results after upgradation and document if any special actions must be performed by the customer after upgradation.
Providing support to Project teams till completion of Projects (Engineering, Commissioning).
Supporting Service team and Project teams on time estimation and application verification.
Actively participate in training and improve product and process knowledge.

Your Background:
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and communications, Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Should have 5-10 yrs. of experience.
Relevant Work Experience on MicroSCADA family Products- SYS600, SYS600C, Historian.
Customer support experience with MicroSCADA family products, preferably worked as a Commissioning Engineer/Level 3 Support Engineer/V&V tester.
Good understanding of Communication Protocols (IEC61850, IEC101, IC104, Modbus).
Knowledge on XML, Java Script, SCIL Coding will be an added advantage.
Good understanding of Windows, Virtual Machine environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication ability.
