Description:

Our client is an American leader in the consumer financial services industry.

One of the largest initiatives in 2022 for our client is the digital transformation and integration of multiple Digital and Operations platforms. Traditionally, these applications have run in separate channels, but they have identified multiple workstreams that they want to move into the Digital Channel / integrate with existing products.

All these products will be developed in React and will be built in microservice front ends for rapid feature deployment/ less dependency on each other. Examples of the workstreams/ products could include Pay my Bill, Digital Alerts, Collections, Manage My Account, Fix My Problem/ Disputes.

Requirements:

Globallogic is seeking a React Tech Lead with intimate familiarity with the web platform to join
our team. Our Front End Engineers are engaged in the full spectrum of product development,
working with a team to write great software and build engaging products. Do you have the
technical and relational skills to build business-critical applications with a high-performing,
cross-functional team?
We generally operate with small teams working closely together on a wide variety of projects
that range from an FE solution for servicing and application for a credit card to charge disputes
applications. We have products in production today built with a range of platforms. We are not
precious about our technology selection, but choose the best for the problem.
Our web stack today includes React, Redux, Context, Typescript, Jest, and Rest APIs.
You want the web to compete with native platforms on every level; from building compelling
experiences to maintenance, usability, and distribution. Regardless of what browser you use for
daily use, you strongly believe that testing, supporting, and encouraging use of all browsers is
core to the current and future success of the web.
You are a human first, a developer second. You are willing and able to partake in and lead
communication with project stakeholders. You should be able to explain technical constraints to
both technical and non-technical audiences. You believe that it's important for the whole team
to grow together and enjoy finding new ways to share knowledge. You are a self-starter,
capable of creating and following-through on your own broader engineering goals beyond the
direct goals of your product's development. You are adaptable, persistent, and are comfortable
working with leaders in the business.

of the collective. And you're people smart in the sense that you're easy to work with and can
manage relationships with all kinds of personality types.

Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience working on large development projects
- Provide general internal developer community support
- Connect with other leads to enhance Tech Lead support and understand different approaches
- Experience using React, Redux, Context, Typescript
- Get equally excited about great UI and API design and architecture
- Can articulate the difference between progressive enhancement and graceful degradation
- Could have a conversation about the importance of animation in an interface
- Work well with others in a highly collaborative team environment
- Love the journey as much as the destination
- Stay current with evolving front end tools like Webpack and Babel
