Segment: Green Energy & Mobility
Business Unit: Hitachi Energy
Company Name: HITACHI ENERGY LTD
Profession (Job Category): Quality Management
Job Type (Experience Level): Management
Job Schedule: Full time
The mission of the Global Process Excellence & Applications Manager GTM (Global Trade Management) is to drive global harmonization and improvements of global trade processes and applications to reach the state of the art global trade and compliance setup that Hitachi Energy strives for. The main objective of the GPAM is to design -in cooperation with the GTM organization and their Solution Architects- best industry practice GTM processes and to ensure implementation, maintenance and improvement of these processes within the GT application landscape and interfaces with non-GTM applications.
Drive the design, testing, sign-off and final deployment of GTM processes and applications in which these processes are efficiently and effectively embedded. This also includes the activities related to data migration. Aligning with and managing (indirectly) the data migration team is key.
Once these GTM processes are implemented, the processes need to be maintained, reviewed and improved in case of defects, non-alignment with other (core S/4) processes and in case of tactical or strategic business, functional or even regulatory changes. Trade procedures and processes are implemented to maximize corporate efficiency and minimize regulatory risk.
Oversee, jointly with IS, the GTM related applications and ensure that AMS Support Team implements resolutions for defects that fit the global template and detect deviations from the global template at an early stage to consciously reject the resolution or adjust the Global Template to the resolution.
Ensure implementation and maintenance of interfaces with brokers in an efficient and effective way to justify the effort for both parties. Two-way Broker interfaces need to be established with our main approved brokers to drive digitalization and automation in our customs and trade transactions. Other interfaces with non-core SAP applications (e.g. SFDC) and FTP servers (e.g. Descartes, Swiss Exchange Rates, etc) need to be maintained and improved when required.
Manage the GTM Continuous Improvement program. Build and lead the team of GTM Continuous Improvement Manager(s) as direct or indirect reporting lines. The CI function needs to work closely with AMS Run Support to review defects and how these are (timely, completely and properly) resolved fitting to the Global Template.
Drive the GT digitalization agenda together with the Regional Heads of Trade Management and Global Trade Analysts.
Ensure, with HR and global functional management support, that GTM process and applications management is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed at functional level. Guide, motivate and develop team members within Hitachi Energy policies, for the benefit of both Hitachi Energy and the employee.
