Job Description

Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Head of Digital Engineering and Requirements Management who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Pistoia or Napoli

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for requirement management project database configuration and management
  • Project Engineer support for requirements management purpose during all project life cycle
  • System Engineering support for requirements development respecting traceability
  • Responsible to define the Requirement Management Plan (RMP)
  • Responsible for the requirements engineering process during all project life cycle
  • Digital Engineering and Requirements KPIs analysis
  • Responsible to coordinate of all the Engineering Departments for hardware/software needs
  • Responsible for the Engineering Department, in coordination with the ICT department, for managing the design, implementation and maintenance all the engineering applications and solutions
  • Lead the technical implementation of digital engineering across programs, to support key activities such as staff training, design development, stakeholder engagement and project delivery
  • Responsible for developing engineering processes and reviewing procedures relevant to functional discipline in order to ensure they are in line with strategic business objectives
  • Technical support of digital engineering tools to enable improved project deliverables (e.g. CAD, GPLM, etc)

Required Skills/ Knowledge

  • Deep Knowledge in Requirement Management discipline
  • Deep Knowledge of PTC PLM Windchill tool
  • Deep Knowledge of the IBM DOORS tool
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office software package (Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Power Point)
  • Knowledge Model Based System Engineering methodologies is considered a plus
  • Knowledge of the PTC Creo software is considered a plus
  • Knowledge of semiformal languages for software modeling (UML) and/or SysML for systems modelling
  • Communicate Effectively
  • Problem solving capability
  • Team working capability
  • Plan to achieve priority outcomes and respond flexibility to changing circumstances
  • Understand and apply planning, coordination and control methods
  • At least 3 years of experience in similar positions is a preferential title
  • Basic working knowledge of Rail Transit Subsystem.

Education / Qualifications

Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/Associate Degree or equivalent technical background.     

Languages

English fluent. At least B2 level.
