Description
Hitachi Energy is hiring Production Supervisors at our Crystal Springs, MS location. The Production Supervisor is responsible for coordinating, planning, leading and supervising the production team of designated area. This position is focused on driving production area improvements with lean manufacturing techniques.
Shift & Schedule:
3rd Shift 11:30p-6:00am
Swing shift working some days on 1st shift (6:00am - 2:30pm) and some days on 2nd shift (3:00pm-11:30pm
These hours may change, and we may work overtime either outside these hours or on weekend days. The successful candidate should be able to assist his team anytime to reach his production targets.
Your Responsibilities:
Ensure all activities under his responsibility are addressed in the respective health and safety risk analysis, and required controls are defined to conduct the work safely.
Identify gaps in safety, quality and production processes and develop actions to close gaps.
Communicate daily production targets and exceptions with the production employees.
Assign team members and adjust workflow based on size of work team and customer priorities.
Provide leadership, guidance, and direction for continuous improvement activities.
Engage team members and develop best practices within areas of responsibility.
Support the team members’ training.

Your Background:
Associate degree (may consider non-degree candidate with significant years of experience).
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a Supervisor role.
Experience in lean manufacturing.
Experience in using SAP is a plus.
Experience with metal works, welding and painting is a plus.
