Production Engineer

Description

You as a Production Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be defining and working out how the product will be assembled and tested on the production line ensuring the right quantity of components or products are delivered and aligned to support the speed of the production line. Reviewing efficiencies and eliminating waste within the manufacturing process to deliver high quality products or components to clearly defined standards.

Your responsibilities

• Assisting with shop floor layout and cell designs.
• Maximizing production efficiency, and training and monitoring production line workers. Maintaining and making sure the right jigs and tooling available for assembly tasks. Designing the workstation and tooling kit with respect to lean concept.
• Generating production documentation such as assembly instructions. Reducing variability in manufacturing by providing standard work methods and work instructions.
• Leading the 5S and Kaizen approach and making sure to be implemented.
• Increasing speed and efficiency of processes. Diagnosing breakdowns and troubleshoot problems.
• Following all safety rules and regulations. Educating employees on proper methods to perform assembly and machines.
• Employee shall also carry out any tasks that are assigned by direct manager to fulfil the job requirements.

Your background

• A bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical or industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in production or industrial engineering.
• Strong understanding of lean concept and applying lean six sigma tools.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
