Quality Assurance & Operational Excellence Specialist

General Information:

Hitachi is seeking a QA Specialist for its Crystal Springs, MS location. Work flexible hours (including weekends) while maintaining safe work habits to interface/communicate with customers, engineering, and manufacturing. The responsibilities include understanding and operating high voltage and high current electrical test equipment, mechanical and electrical requirements of assemblies. Also maintain and clean test equipment, test bay, and test office, follow and obey all safety rules. Will also work from drawings and specifications.

Your Responsibilities:

Perform the following tests without assistance;
•    TTR    
•    Megger Test / Insulation Resistance
•    Power Factor Testing
•    CT Analyzer Testing
•    Resistance Testing
•    Polarity Verification
•    Torque Verification

Know basic electric principles to include but not limited to the following:
•    Resistance
•    Capacitance
•    Inductance
•    Ohm’s Law

Have knowledge of applicable IEC / IEEE standards.

Your Background:

• High School Diploma, Two years’ experience in manufacturing facility, and basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the United States.
• Preferred: Two-year technical degree required with emphasis in an electrical field.  Computer fundamentals also preferred.  Previous experience in transformer manufacturing a plus
