Supplier Quality Management Lead Engineer (m/f/d)

In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with our suppliers. You will lead efforts to assess, develop, and monitor our supplier base, ensuring they meet and exceed our quality standards.  

Key Accountabilities & Activities

• Oversee and monitor the quality performance of our suppliers within the region
• Develop and implement new supplier quality management processes and procedures in the region
• Collaborate with global teams to facilitate the roll-out of global supplier quality activities/initiatives in the region
• Oversee regular supplier audit/requalification program
• Evaluate and assess the quality of suppliers in the region
• Oversee APQP progress in development process towards the supply chain
• Support the sourcing committee decision in terms of SQM judgement
• Promote / implement new supplier quality initiatives
• Lead training sessions for suppliers in the region
• Execute quality supplier audits

Your Profile

• Degree in automotive engineering or comparable 
• Strong track record of conducting supplier audits 
• Hold qualification to Quality Auditor VDA 6.3 and good knowledge of Automotive Core Tools 
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in both English and German, with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience
• Meticulous working style, assertiveness and excellent communication skills, along with a confident appearance and strong organizational, management, analytical and problem-solving abilities 
• Willingness to travel frequently both domestically and internationally to support Astemo’s global operations
