Sr. Testing and Laboratory Engineer

Hitachi Energy is seeking for Sr. Test Engineer with expertise in hardware and software product testing to join our team. Your Responsibilities:

• Responsible of the full verification and validation product design process as: hardware integration test, performances validation, product standard compliance test. Additionally efficiency, reliability test and design margin verification may be required
• Lead and perform the hardware and software system integration test to verify the product specification compliance in according to the development plan.
• Actively participate in agency certification and approval process
• Support EV charging Infrastructure interoperability testing and new features release at customer sites
• Laboratory management:
  • Define and implement the test infrastructure for unit, sub-system and system level testing including: vehicle simulators, EV chargers, instrumentation.
  • Ensure that all HSE measures are in place.
• Your workflow will be part of Hitachi Energy gate model development process where you need to coordinate your work with the entire development team.

Your Background:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
• At least 5 - 7 years of experience in a company focused on products design as Laboratory Testing Engineer or similar position.
• Strong familiarity and working knowledge of various verification methods and test approaches to successfully verify requirements including development of test procedures and other test documentation.
• Knowledge on electrical schematic of high power/low-medium voltage applications
• Familiar working with UL standards and certification agencies (TUV, CSA).
• Experience on product testing for high power AC and DC applications connected to medium/low voltage grid will be an advantage.
• Prior experience in EV charging and associated standards will be an advantage
• Prior experience with power electronic application will be an advantage.
