Quality Assurance Technician

Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Focus on Shop Floor quality investigations, Test Cell call outs and Continuous Improvement, but not limited to:
• ​Helping to resolve production issues related to nonconforming product.
• Failure analysis of parts-related customer escapes.
• Data collection for Quality Department related to Process related issues.
• Inspection of incoming purchased parts.
• Product and process audits.

Qualifications:

Education:

• AA/AS Degree (preferred)
• Six Sigma Green Belt, ASQ-CQT/CMI training (preferred).

Professional Experience:

• Five years of experience in the Quality Assurance field.
• Must be self-motivated, and proficient at methodical problem solving (RCCA).
• Must be knowledgeable of manufacturing and assembly processes, familiar with GD&T and utilization of a variety of gages and specialized equipment.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills are required. Technician must also exhibit interpersonal skills, strong computer skills (including the use of Microsoft Excel software).
• Must be able to identify trends and investigate root cause factors using a variety of Quality tools. A written test may be administered to demonstrate these competencies.
• Understanding of ISO900
