General Responsibilities:

Under general direction of a lead engineer or manager, the primary responsibility of this position is to lead multiple customer programs manufacturing production transfer as part of the footprint alignment with future business needs.

Job Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility of this position includes, but is not limited to:

  • The individual will be responsible for DE function on all transfer products from Berea, KY facility to Sunbury, OH and Queretaro, MX.
  • Support CFT meeting and lead all the DE related deliverables to execute the project.
  • Create and manage PVP&R, get customer alignment on test plan and final approval of PVP&R.
  • Work closely with test lab to ensure smooth and timely completion of PV testing.
  • Work with each program DE for any customer and internal drawing update. 
  • Report out to DE management on weekly basis on project stat
  • Knowledge of TS16949 requirements to support job responsibilities.
  • No issue travelling within US and to Mexico.

Qualifications (Education, Skills and/or special Knowledge):

The ideal candidate will:

  • Prior experience chassis components, damper knowledge would be a plus
  • Have working knowledge and experience with APQP program management
  • Be proficient with
    • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
    • Microsoft Project
  • Experience with the following is desired, (not required)
    • CAD software (i.e. CATIA V4, V5, UG, Solidworks preferred)
    • Statistical software – ie. Minitab
  • Have experience tracking and reporting design changes.

Education: Bachelor degree in Engineering (Mechanical or equivalent)

Experience: minimum of 5 years applicable experience in related field

Supervisory Responsibilities:  N/A

Job level determined by various factors such as organization size, responsibility, career stage, and capabilities.  The ability to work as core coordinator of a global cross functional team applying effective verbal and written communication skills is a must. Ability to travel and support activities and coordination at the global level is required.

Working conditions:

Physical Demands: Able to perform light physical work consistently and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally

Travel: Some domestic and some international travel.
